A reporting meeting was held in Neftchala

A reporting meeting titled “Results of the socio-economic development of Neftchala district in 2025 and the tasks ahead for 2026” was held by the Neftchala District Executive Authority.

The event was attended by Mammadya Mammadov, Head of the 8th Territorial Sector of the Department for Territorial and Organizational Issues of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Mirhasan Seyidov, Head of the Neftchala District Executive Authority; Members of the Milli Majlis Tanzila Rustamkhanli and Gunay Aghamali; responsible officials of the Executive Authority apparatus; heads of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), law enforcement agencies, departments, enterprises and organizations; labor collectives; families of martyrs; war invalids and veterans; elders; and representatives of the public.

Prior to the event, the majestic monument to the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, erected in front of the Heydar Aliyev Center of Neftchala district, was visited and flowers were laid at the monument.

First, the cherished memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as of servicemen who were martyred in defense of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, independence, and constitutional order, was honored with a minute of silence.

The Head of the Neftchala District Executive Authority, Mirhasan Seyidov, delivered a comprehensive report, noting that the statehood strategy and political course based on national interests, defined by the Great Leader, are today being successfully continued in line with the challenges of the time by his достой successor, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. The magnificent victory achieved in the 44-day Patriotic War, which opened a glorious page in the history of the Azerbaijani people, the large-scale restoration and reconstruction works carried out in the liberated territories, the establishment of modern residential settlements, and the implementation of important infrastructure projects once again demonstrate the economic strength and political will of the state.

In 2025, enterprises, organizations, and individual entrepreneurs operating in the district produced goods worth 346,844.6 thousand manats, which is 1.1 percent more in comparable prices than in the same period of 2024. The volume of total output per capita amounted to 3,949.2 manats, representing a 5.0 percent increase compared to the same period of 2024. During the reporting year, industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this sector produced industrial output worth 86,948.6 thousand manats.

In the transport sector, enterprises and individuals transported 428 thousand tons of cargo and 5,641 thousand passengers by road transport in 2025, which represents an increase of 5.7 percent in cargo transportation and 6.0 percent in passenger transportation compared to the previous year.

During the reporting period, a total of 447 million 280 thousand cubic meters of water was lifted from the Kura River and the Akkusha Canal within the district.

In the reporting year, 28,816.5 thousand manats from all financial sources were allocated to fixed capital for the development of the district’s economic and social sectors. Compared to 2024, investments in fixed capital in the district increased by 10,443.2 thousand manats, or 56.8 percent.

Within the framework of 2026 being declared the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture,” the implementation of a number of diverse measures, as well as landscaping and construction projects across the district, is planned.

At the reporting meeting, Members of Parliament Tanzila Rustamkhanli and Gunay Aghamali, Chairman of the YAP Neftchala District Organization Ulvi Farzaliyev, Director of the Neftchala District State Agrarian Development Center Miradil Ahmadli, and Hero of the Patriotic War and mother of martyr Jamal Ismayilov, Filara Ismayilova, spoke about the work carried out in the field of socio-economic development of the district in 2025 and the tasks set for 2026.

They assessed the work carried out by the District Executive Authority during the reporting year as satisfactory.

In his speech, Mammadya Mammadov, Head of the 8th Territorial Sector of the Department for Territorial and Organizational Issues of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, emphasized that as a result of the consistent and purposeful policy implemented by President Ilham Aliyev, high achievements were attained in all areas in 2025, and that Azerbaijan’s positions in the system of international relations were further strengthened. The speaker noted that the declaration of 2026 as the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture” reflects the preservation of historical traditions in this field, as well as Azerbaijan’s national development strategy, global responsibility, and future-oriented vision.

Following the speeches, within the framework of the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty,” as well as for active participation and successful results achieved in the socio-economic and socio-political life of the district during the reporting year, a group of individuals was awarded Certificates of Honor by the Head of the District Executive Authority.

On behalf of the participants of the reporting meeting, an appeal to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, was adopted, and the text of the appeal was brought to the attention of the participants.

At the end of the meeting, relevant instructions regarding the tasks ahead for 2026 were given to the appropriate bodies.
